Dean Phillips began their career in 1998 as an Assistant Manager at Vandermark Exploration, where they were responsible for managing day-to-day operations and introducing new systems to automate business operations. In 2002, they took on the role of Technical Assistant at Houghton College, where they designed, prototyped, launched and enhanced the Department's Web site and eNewsletter. In 2003, they joined Avid Anesthesiology Solutions as a Business Analyst and Support Analyst. During this time, they were recognized for consistently delivering projects on-time and with high customer satisfaction, and planned, tested and managed the release of ANSI 4010A1 837P and 835 EDI claim interfaces. In 2005, they became an Investment Advisor Representative at Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. In 2008, they joined Abeo (formerly Avid) as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed, tested and implemented the release of ANSI 5010 837 and 835 EDI claim interface for both Professional and Institutional Claims. Finally, in 2013, they became the COO of FM Dashboard, LLC, where they helped facilities professionals do their jobs at a higher level through simple work order automation software designed to save real time and money.
Dean Phillips obtained a BS in Computer Science and Business from Houghton University between 1999 and 2003. Dean then earned an MBA in Finance from Mercer University - Stetson School of Business and Economics between 2005 and 2006. Additionally, Dean Phillips has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Value-Based Pricing (December 2017), Managing Virtual Teams (November 2017), Project Management Foundations (September 2017), Design Thinking: Venture Design (August 2017), Financial Analysis: Making Business Projections (August 2017), Leading with Emotional Intelligence (August 2017), Quality Standards in Customer Service (August 2017), Design Thinking: Customer Experience (July 2017), and Quick Fixes for Poor Customer Service (July 2017).
