Thomas Dean is currently serving as the Operations Chief Underwriter at FM, where they provide risk transfer solutions to enhance property resilience for clients’ businesses. In this role since 2024, Thomas leads the FM Global account team to deliver quality insurance and risk management products efficiently. Previously, from 2009 to 2014, Thomas held various positions at FM, including Account Engineer, Account Manager, and Consultant Engineer, and also served as the Group Manager Account Engineering. Earlier in their career, Thomas worked as a Civil Engineer at Balfour Beatty Rail from 2000 to 2006. They earned a degree in Civil Engineering with Construction Management from the University of Leeds between 1997 and 2000.
