Iain Ross Mactaggart

Iain Ross Mactaggart is a seasoned professional in mixed signal IC design and architecture, with extensive experience dating back to the mid-1980s. Currently serving as President and Senior Mixed Signal Designer at Fmax Technology Inc. since August 2002, Iain has co-founded the company and focuses on the development of intellectual property in CMOS and SiGe technologies. Prior roles include Fellow at MathStar, where Iain contributed to IC specifications and new IP development, Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer at Digital MediaCom, and Mixed Signal Design Engineer at LSI Logic Corporation, as well as Principal Research Scientist at Honeywell, emphasizing research and development in semiconductor design. Iain holds a PhD in VLSI Architectures from The University of Edinburgh, along with an MSc in Microelectronics Systems and a BSc in Chemical Physics from the same institution.
