Eric Hoffmann is an experienced entomologist with a strong background in insecticide discovery. Currently serving as Principal Investigator at FMC Corporation since November 2017 and previously in the same role at DuPont from May 2012 to November 2017, Eric has developed and managed field and laboratory trials to advance novel insecticides while overseeing an Insect Rearing Group. Prior experience includes work as a Research Entomologist with the US Department of Agriculture, where Eric conducted studies on pesticide effects, and a Research Assistant at Michigan State University, where Eric focused on pest management strategies and directed undergraduate researchers. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Entomology from Michigan State University, complemented by a B.S. in General Biology from the University of Arizona and continuing education in insecticide toxicology and statistics. Eric has also contributed to education as an adjunct professor and has been actively involved in entomological outreach and research presentations.
