Hengbin Wang is a Senior Global R&D Scientist at FMC Corporation, with experience spanning from January 2018 to the present. Previously, Hengbin served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Dr. Nathan Jui's group at Emory University from September 2015 to December 2017, where novel reaction conditions for the functionalization of nitrogen-containing heteroarenes were developed. Prior to this, Hengbin was a Research Fellow in Dr. John Montgomery's group at the University of Michigan from October 2012 to August 2015, focusing on nickel-catalyzed exo-selective reductive macrocyclization of ynals. Early career experience includes working as an assistant engineer at the Jilin Province Design and Research Institute for Petrochemical Engineering from September 2001 to July 2004, where improvements in manufacturing processes and product development were undertaken. Hengbin holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Emory University, earned between 2008 and 2012, and a Master of Science in Medical Chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, completed from 2004 to 2007, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Nankai University (1997-2001).
