Managing Director - FMDQ Exchange at FMDQ Group

Tumi Sekoni has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Tumi started their career as an Executive Trainee at Intercontinental Bank Limited in Lagos in 2000. Tumi then worked as a Front Office FX Trader at GTBank from 2001 to 2003. Tumi then joined Goldman Sachs as a Reconciliations Analyst for European Listed Derivatives from 2005 to 2008. Tumi further worked at Merrill Lynch as a Senior Reconciliation Technical Specialist for European Listed Derivatives from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they had roles as a Cash and Collateral Management Analyst at UBS and as a Business Analyst at Lehman Brothers. Tumi joined FMDQ Group in 2014 and held positions such as Group Head of Business Development from 2014 to 2016, Divisional Head of Marketing & Business Development from 2016 to 2017, and Associate Executive Director of Capital Markets from 2018 to 2019. Tumi's recent roles at FMDQ Group include Acting Managing Director of FMDQ Clear from July to December 2019 and currently, they serve as the Managing Director of FMDQ Exchange from January 2020 onwards.

Tumi Sekoni completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Lagos in 1999. Currently, Tumi is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Durham University Business School, which is expected to be completed by 2024.
