Christian Hayes

Christian Hayes has had an extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Christian started their career at PEC NZ Ltd in 1990, where they held various positions such as Business Analyst, Project Manager, Account Manager, and Service Desk Manager until 1999. At Provenco, from 1999 to 2002, they worked as a Product Manager, focusing on developing product plans and providing consultancy services for the implementation of Central Management System (CMS) products. Christian then joined NZTA in 2002 and held the positions of Lead Project Manager and Programme Manager until 2013. In these roles, they managed multiple concurrent projects, developed project management methodologies, and took responsibility for delivering a change portfolio of work. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Massey University as Projects and Portfolio Manager, overseeing a team of project managers and managing the IT services portfolio of projects and programs. In 2017, they joined FMG (Farmers Mutual Group) as the Head of Technology.

Christian Hayes obtained a Diploma in Information Systems from the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand from 2000 to 2004. Christian also has additional certifications including a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from APMG-International in 2007 and a Management of Portfolios certification from APMG-International in 2013.
