Michael Harvey

Head Of Research at FMG

Michael Harvey has extensive work experience in research and evaluation roles. Michael worked as the Head of Research at FMG starting in 2009. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Research & Evaluation Unit at IMSED Research in the Department of Labour from 2008 to 2009. In this role, they managed a team and oversaw multiple immigration research projects. Before that, they were the Manager of Visitor and Market Research at The Museum of New Zealand - Te Papa Tongarewa from 2000 to 2008. Additionally, they served as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Housing from 1994 to 1999, where they focused on housing research and evaluation.

Michael Harvey attended several educational institutions throughout their life. Michael began their education at Sanson School from 1966 to 1973. Michael then attended Rangitikei College in Marton from 1974 to 1976. Afterward, they attended St Augustine's College in Wanganui in 1977 and 1978. Finally, they pursued higher education at Massey University, where they obtained a MA (Hons) in Psychology with an Endorsement in Clinical Psychology from 1979 to 1987. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Net Promoter Associate from Satmetrix in 2011.
