FMI Corporation is seeking a talented professional to join the Chemicals team of FMI Capital Advisors, the firm’s investment banking group and registered broker/dealer. This full-time opportunity supports the FMI Chemicals team, requires 10-20% travel and will be based in our Cherry Creek office in Denver, Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Conducting industry, market and company-specific research
• Performing financial analysis, valuation and financial modeling
• Participating in client-engagement meetings
• Developing transaction marketing materials, including pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums and management presentations
• Assisting in the execution of M&A transactions, including the preparation and management of virtual data rooms and the coordination of client and third-party due diligence
• Building relationships and maintaining contact with established and prospective clients and professional advisors
• Researching and writing articles for publication in firm and industry journals
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, major or concentration in business, finance, accounting or related field preferred
• 3+ years of investment banking, private equity or transaction accounting experience
• Solid quantitative and analytical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and analysis
• Experience with Pitchbook, S&P Capital IQ, and Deal Cloud is a plus
• Interest in the chemicals industry is preferred
• Experience with chemistry, chemical engineering or the chemical industry is a plus
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
• Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in a self-motivated, entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player

Compensation Information

$140K-160K, depending on experience, plus bonus.
