Zak Ferreira

Zak Ferreira is an experienced professional in renewable energy project finance and development, currently serving as an Investment Officer at FMO - Dutch entrepreneurial development bank since December 2022, with a focus on projects in Eastern and Southern Africa. Prior roles include Principal and Associate in Energy Finance at Nedbank from May 2017 to September 2022, and Senior Project Manager at Next Renewable Generation PTY LTD, overseeing new client development and project management from February 2011 to April 2017. Zak also worked as a Consultant at Dcisio Consulting Pty Ltd from November 2008 to May 2010, managing World Bank-sponsored projects in Botswana and Ghana. Zak holds a Master of Engineering in Technology Management and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from the University of Pretoria, along with advanced training in Renewable Energy Management.
