Executive Director, FOCH Family Child Care Network at Friends of Crown Heights

Angalie Dasai is Executive Director of our Friends of Crown Heights Family Child Care Network (FCCN). In partnership with the NYC Department of Education, our FCC Network is contracted to serve up to 1,000 children aged six weeks to 3 years old in approximately 150 affiliated provider homes throughout the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. As Director, Ms. Dasai is responsible for all aspects of program management and implementation, including compliance, audits, supervision, professional development, provider recruitment, family services, and enrollment.

Ms. Dasai is a career specialist in Early Childhood Education who brings to her position more than 15 years of diverse instructional and leadership experience in the field. She had previously served our agency as Director of Coaching and Mentoring, with responsibility for supporting and motivating instructional staff, conducting classroom assessments, assisting our teaching teams with curriculum implementation and facilitating professional development trainings to achieve targeted goals. Before joining our Friends of Crown Heights family, she had formerly served as Educational Director with the Brooklyn Kindergarten Society, where she led a combination of EarlyLearn, Head Start and Universal Pre-K programs. She had also previously served as Educational Director with the Stuyvesant Heights and Miracle Academy Learning Centers.

Ms. Dasai holds a Master of Science degree in Education from Metropolitan College of New York and is Professionally Certified by the New York State Department of Education. She is additionally certified in Practice Based Coaching and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
