Joshua Deighton

Joshua Deighton is an experienced legal and business affairs professional in the entertainment industry, currently serving as Vice President of Business Affairs at Focus Features since January 2022. Prior to this role, Joshua held the position of Vice President of Legal Affairs at Searchlight Pictures from November 2019 to January 2022 and at Twentieth Century Fox from May 2014 to November 2019. Joshua began his career as an Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, specializing in Media, Entertainment, Technology, Global Finance, and Real Estate. Additional experience includes a role as Summer Associate at Husch Blackwell and as Senior Vice President of Production at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, alongside a previous position as Vice President of Production at Fox Searchlight Pictures. Joshua earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from USC Gould School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from UCSB.
