Evan Thornton

Evan Thornton is the current Vice President for Business & Financial Affairs at the University of North Alabama. Evan has previous experience as an Assistant Vice President for Financial Affairs / Business Manager at Athens State University from October 2010 to September 2015. Prior to that, they were the Financial Administrator for the City of Athens, Alabama from July 2005 to October 2010. Evan began their career as a Senior Accountant at Johnson, Feigley & Newton from August 1997 to July 2005.

Evan Thornton has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Jacksonville State University, a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of North Alabama, and a Certificate in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
