Rebecca Farquhar

Rebecca Farquhar has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rebecca began their career in 2005 as a Bilingual Sales Representative at Liguori Publications. Rebecca then worked as a Children's Ministry Coordinator at Covenant Presbyterian Church, overseeing various children's programs and conducting background checks on volunteers. Rebecca later served as a Freelance Translator for the American Translators Association, offering translation services in Spanish and English. Following that, they worked as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative at Concordia Publishing House. In 2009, they became a Spanish Teacher at Chesterfield Academy for a year. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Spanish and Music Teacher at Grace Christian School. Rebecca then transitioned to the education sector and worked as a Permanent Substitute Teacher in the World Language Department at Greenwich Public Schools from 2015 to 2016. Rebecca continued their work with Greenwich Public Schools as a Substitute Teacher from 2017 to 2019 and later as a Paraprofessional in the Preschool program from 2019 to 2021. Their most recent position is as the Director of Human Resources and Corporate Insurance at FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools) starting in 2022. Throughout their career, Rebecca has gained expertise in human resources, education, translation, and customer service.

Rebecca Farquhar has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, which they obtained between 2002 and 2004. Prior to that, they studied Spanish Language and Literature at Universidad de Sevilla from 2001 to 2002 and at Cedarville University from 2000 to 2001. In terms of certifications, they obtained the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in July 2023 and the SHRM HR Department of One Specialty certification from SHRM in December 2020.
