Alec Pickering

Alec is part of the business development team at Focus, with an emphasis on recruiting new partner firms and merger candidates located across the United States. In addition, Alec helps match RIAs seeking a succession plan with the right partner firm through Focus Successions.

Prior to joining Focus, Alec worked as an Analyst for ESM Group, an international educational services firm located in San Francisco. At ESM, Alec provided the foundation for the expansion into new markets in Tokyo and Hong Kong by conducting research and analysis of expatriate activity in Asian markets. Alec was also responsible for driving new client relationships for ESM in the U.S. through prospecting and co-leading seminars at Bay Area universities.

Alec received his BBA in International Business cum laude from the University of San Diego. He was born and raised in San Francisco and still resides in the city.
