Tara Heffernan

Tara Heffernan has extensive experience in the field of social care, currently serving as a Team Leader at Focus Ireland since September 2011, where leadership includes overseeing a team that provides support, advice, and advocacy to individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Prior roles at Focus Ireland involved serving as a Project Worker across multiple services, including South Dublin Advice & Information and Coffee Shop Advice & Information, where responsibilities encompassed direct client support and outreach to families and young people facing homelessness. Prior to joining Focus Ireland, Tara was a Child Care Worker at Oaklodge Residential Services Ltd., working in a residential home for children in state care. Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies in Social Care from Waterford Institute of Technology, obtained in 2008.
