Focus Lighting
Kenny Schutz has over 10 years of experience in the lighting industry. Kenny worked as a Lighting Designer for Kenny Schutz Lighting from 1996 to 2006. Following that, they became an Associate Lighting Coordinator at Lincoln Center Festival from 1997 to 2005. In 2004, Kenny Schutz joined Vassar College as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, teaching lighting-related courses. Kenny then worked as an Associate Resident Lighting Designer at New York City Opera in 1995. Since 2006, they have been with Focus Lighting, initially serving as a Project Manager and later promoted to the role of Head of Project Management.
Kenny Schutz has a strong educational background in the arts and cultural studies. Kenny obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in East Asian Studies from Vassar College, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. Following this, they pursued further education and earned a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University, attending from 1991 to 1994.
In addition to their academic degrees, Kenny Schutz has also obtained two certifications. In January 2008, they achieved the Lighting Certified (LC) certification from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP). Furthermore, in September 2006, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
