Jean-Louis Coenegrachts

Jean-Louis Coenegrachts is an accomplished gastroenterologist with extensive experience in both clinical and leadership roles. Since August 1983, Jean-Louis has been associated with Jessa Hospital, where duties included serving as Chief of the Gastroenterology service until 2011, and continuing as a gastroenterologist specializing in inflammatory bowel disease and therapeutic endoscopy. Jean-Louis has held various influential positions, including Member of the Board with FOD Sociale Zekerheid since October 2013, and Medical Manager at RIZIV-INAMI since February 2011. Additionally, Jean-Louis serves as a Clinical Lector at Hasselt University and has presided over the Belgian Union of Gastroenterologists since January 1997. Education credentials include a Bachelor in Humaniora from St Joseph College Turnhout, a Medical Doctor degree from University Leuven, and a Master after Master in Medicine Gastroenterology from KU Leuven.
