Sara Janssens

Sara Janssens currently holds the position of Attaché beleidscoördinatie en internationale relaties at FOD Sociale Zekerheid since September 2022. Prior to this role, Sara served as the Operational Coordinator for the Outbreak Research Team at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp from March 2019 to August 2022, managing research projects and operational support. Previous experience includes positions as PA to the Ambassador at the Embassy of Belgium in Pretoria and consultant roles with the Belgian Development Agency, among others, focusing on project management, research application, and knowledge sharing. Sara's educational background includes a Master of European Studies from Freie Universität Berlin, a Master of Arts in International Relations from Ghent University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, complemented by an Erasmus Exchange Programme at the University of Bergen.
