Abira Ramakrishnan

Abira Ramakrishnan is an experienced pharmaceutical professional with extensive expertise in Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) and drug product development. Currently serving as Head of CMC & Quality and Senior Director at Foghorn Therapeutics Inc, Ramakrishnan leads strategic and operational aspects of development and manufacturing for various dosage forms, including novel long-acting parenterals. Previous roles include Director of CMC at Servier Pharmaceuticals, where leadership was provided for Tibsovo and Vorasidenib, and Director of Formulation Development and Manufacturing at Agios Pharmaceuticals, focusing on process optimization and providing technical stewardship. Additionally, Ramakrishnan contributed as an independent consultant for Agios, playing a key role from IND to NDA for Tibsovo. Early career experience includes being a Senior Research Scientist at Eli Lilly and Company, leading formulation efforts in bioproducts. Ramakrishnan holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from BIT Mesra.
