Suresh Marru

Suresh Marru is an accomplished technology leader with a substantial background in research and development in cyberinfrastructure and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Director of the Center for ARTificial Intelligence in Science And eNgineering (ARTISAN) at Georgia Tech since August 2023, Suresh aims to enhance scientific research through innovative AI applications. Concurrently, as Chief Technology Officer at Folia, Suresh drives technological innovation and the strategic vision for AI-enhanced annotation platforms. Suresh has significant experience from prior roles including Vice President of the Apache Airavata Project and Deputy Director at the Cyberinfrastructure Integration Research Center at Indiana University Bloomington. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University and advanced studies at the University of Oklahoma.
