Jesper Theil Thomsen is a Danish entrepreneur and business advisor. Jesper is the co-founder and former CEO of SOUNDBOKS, a portable speaker company, and a board member of several organizations including Børns Vilkår, folks.dk, Copus, and GameBoks. Jesper is also a Thiel Fellow, an award given to young entrepreneurs by the Thiel Foundation.
Jesper Thomsen was born in Denmark and studied economics at the University of Copenhagen. After graduation, they worked in various businesses before co-founding SOUNDBOKS in 2012. Under Thomsen's leadership, SOUNDBOKS grew to become one of the most successful portable speaker companies in the world, with products being sold in over 100 countries. In 2019, Thomsen stepped down as CEO of SOUNDBOKS and became an advisor to the company.
Thomsen has also been involved in several social causes throughout their career. Jesper is a board member of Børns Vilkår, an organization that works to protect children's rights in Denmark, and Ældrehuset, a digital platform for connecting seniors with their local communities. In addition to their work with these organizations, Thomsen is also a member of Virum Gymnasium's board of trustees.
Jesper Theil Thomsen has a degree from Y Combinator, a world-renowned startup incubator. Jesper also has a studentereksamen from Virum Gymnasium, where they studied math, music, and physics. Jesper attended Fuglsanggårdsskolen from 2001 to 2011 and ISSP - International School, Peshawar, Pakistan from 2000 to 2001.
