Kate Hazarian

Kate Hazarian, MSW, ACC has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Kate currently works as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Support Services at Folsom Cordova Unified School District. Prior to this, they owned and operated their own business, GSD Coaching and Consulting. Kate also worked as a Mental Fitness Coach at Positive Intelligence. Previously, they served as the Social Emotional Academic Development Coordinator at FCUSD.

Kate's extensive experience in education includes roles at San Juan Unified School District, where they served as Vice Principal at Greer Elementary School and later as the Director of Family Engagement and Partnership Development. Kate was responsible for community relations, family engagement, and developing partnerships to support under-resourced students and their families. Before that, they co-founded and chaired Project DREAM, a non-profit organization that raised funds for enrichment programs in Twin Rivers Unified School District. Kate also served as the Director of Family and Community Involvement at Twin Rivers, overseeing district-wide programs and partnerships.

Kate began their career at North Sacramento School District, where they worked as a Child Welfare and Attendance Coordinator and an Outreach Consultant. Through their various roles, Kate has consistently demonstrated a passion for supporting students, families, and communities in achieving their goals and dreams.

Kate Hazarian, MSW, ACC holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from CSU, Sacramento, which they obtained from 1985 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at CSU, Sacramento from 1985 to 1989. Kate has also pursued continuing education at UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education. Furthermore, they have obtained multiple certifications, including the Accredited Certified Coach designation from the International Coaching Federation in September 2021, and the Certified Team Coach certification from UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education in 2022. Additionally, they hold edX Verified Certificates for Improvement Science in Education and Family Engagement in Education, both obtained in 2021.
