Lari Powell has extensive work experience in the field of education. From 1996 to 2014, Powell worked at FCUSD, teaching various grades and serving in different positions such as a Transitional English Program coordinator, math coach, and intervention specialist. In 2014, Powell joined the Folsom Cordova Unified School District as a Teacher at Riverview STEM Academy. This was followed by the role of Elementary STEM Lead Teacher, where Powell was responsible for staff development and teacher preparation in STEM education across 20 elementary schools. Currently, Powell serves as the Principal of Riverview STEM Academy. In addition to these roles, Powell has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at William Jessup University since 2009 and as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Phoenix from 2009 to 2017.
Lari Powell earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from National University between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, between 1990 and 1995, Lari Powell obtained a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching from California State University, Chico.
