Katie Buss

Katie Buss is a seasoned Principal Sensory Scientist at McCormick FONA, where experience spans from April 2007 to the present. Responsibilities include leading the Descriptive Analysis Panel, coordinating sensory testing, educating stakeholders on sensory value, and managing the departmental budget. Previous roles include Senior Sensory Scientist and Team Lead, as well as a Food Technologist in product development at Mullins Food Products. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree in Sensory Science from Kansas State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Food Nutrition & Dietetics from Illinois State University, and graduate certificates in Applied Sensory Science and Consumer Testing from the University of California, Davis, and Business Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago.
