Davide Sarti is an experienced professional specializing in tourism and translation, currently serving as a Tourist Office Operator at Bologna Welcome s.r.l. since April 2019, contributing to the communications department after starting at the information point. With a strong background in Japanese culture, Sarti has been translating Japanese comics and novels for Panini since September 2015, and previously worked as a Japanese-Italian interpreter for the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan during an international exhibition. Additional experience includes teaching Japanese comic creation on Man-ga TV and serving as an interpreter at various cultural fairs. Sarti's educational background includes degrees in Asian Languages from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia and scriptwriting from Bottega Finzioni.

Bologna Welcome is the DMO for Bologna. We promote Bologna and attract visitors, events and businesses to the city. Our aims are: - to build Bologna’s international identity and reputation. - to maximize travel and tourism opportunities throughout the whole metropolitan area - to spread the dynamic images of Bologna around the world through the new city brand “is Bologna” What we do: - We are the ultimate resource for visitors and residents to find everything they need about what to do and see in Bologna and its metropolitan area - We provide services like hotel booking, train ticketing, tours booking, special packages,… through the in-house travel agency "BW Incoming". - We work to strengthen Bologna’s position as one of the Italy’s must see destination. - We run conventional and digital marketing and PR campaigns domestically and internationally to encourage prospective visitors to book a trip. - We manage an array of communication channels including: the Bologna tourism official website www.bolognawelcome.com, social media channels, official Bologna Information centers (in Piazza Maggiore and G. Marconi International Airport arrivals area) - We work with domestic and international leading tour operators to ensure they have the latest information about Bologna’s tourism offer and we also offer them tailor-made solutions. - We house the city’s official Convention Bureau. We offer a total event solution service for event organizers, such as: advice on planning meetings, conferences, events, exhibitions, incentives in Bologna. - We mange and promote Palazzo Re Enzo one of the city’s most prestigious venues of Bologna - We cooperate with the Alma Mater Studiorum - Bologna University attracting international students to the most ancient university in the Western World.
