Paul Chippendale

Paul Chippendale is an experienced researcher and project manager with a strong background in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Currently serving as Principal Investigator for the FORTIS and AI-PRISM projects and Technical Project Coordinator for the AgileHand Project, Chippendale focuses on developing solutions that enhance human-robot interaction and improve production processes in the food industries. As a Scientific Monitor for the European Commission, oversight of EC-funded research projects is a critical role. Previously, Chippendale has coordinated significant EU projects, generated substantial research funding, and managed numerous collaborations across academia and industry. Chippendale holds a PhD in Telecommunications and a degree in Information Engineering from Lancaster University.
