Giovanni Azzone

Giovanni Azzone is a distinguished academic and leader, currently serving as Presidente of Fondazione Cariplo and Chairman of IFOM since April 2022. Azzone has been a Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano since 1987, where also held the roles of Rector and Vice Rector. In addition, Azzone serves as Ombudsperson at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and as a Board Member for Tecne - Gruppo Autostrade per l'Italia. Azzone's past roles include Board Member at Poste Italiane from May 2016 to May 2023, and various leadership positions at AIRC, Spezia & Carrara Cruise Terminal SrL, Arexpo s.p.a., and Casa Italia under the Prime Minister's Office.
