Maya Dobromirova Dimova

Maya Dobromirova Dimova has a diverse range of work experience in the field of music production and theater. Maya has held the position of Head of Production Office at Fondazione Teatro di San Carlo since 2017. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as the Director of Music Production at the Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto, where they played a key role in the music program and coordinated with artists, orchestras, and collaborators. Maya also has experience as a collaborator at Resia Artists srl in 2016.

Earlier in their career, Maya worked at Teatro alla Scala, where they held multiple roles. From 2007 to 2008, they served as the Personal Assistant to Daniel Barenboim, managing their agenda and acting as a liaison with press representatives and opera professionals. From 2004 to 2007, they were a member of the Direction of Production staff, handling enquiries and coordinating production schedules. Additionally, Maya worked as an Assistant Stage Director, assisting guest stage directors, blocking scenes, and managing production archives.

Maya's previous experience also includes a role as a Tour Production Manager at per Reti Mediaset in 2004, an Assistant Stage Director at Teatro Donizetti in 2004, and a Free Lecturer and assistant to a Professor at the University of Genoa in 2003. Maya also gained early experience as a Dramaturgy Intern at Goodman Theatre in 1998.

Maya Dobromirova Dimova's education history begins with their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre from Truman State University, which they completed from 1997 to 2000. Maya then pursued International Studies Abroad at the Università degli Studi di Genova in 1998 and 1999, focusing on subjects such as Drammaturgia dell'antichità, Commedia dell'Arte, and Storia del Teatro Italiano. Maya went on to obtain a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in English Philology from the University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski", from 1992 to 1997. Additionally, they completed a Corso di Specializzazione di 2° livello-CS2 in Theatre, Opera, and TV Directing at Accademia Teatro alla Scala between 2002 and 2004. Most recently, they obtained a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) degree in Cultural Management from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, which they completed from 2015 to 2017.
