Carl-Erik Heyvaert

Carl-Erik Heyvaert is a PhD Fellow at Research Foundation Flanders since November 2022 and a PhD Researcher at the Centre for Financial Leadership & Digital Transformation affiliated with KU Leuven and Vlerick Business School since September 2020. This research center focuses on the impact of technologies like AI, robotics, and blockchain on the finance function. Previous experience includes roles as an Information Technology Summer Intern at De Cronos Groep and an RPA Developer at MEDIALAAN, as well as a Robotic Process Automation Internship at KBC Bank & Verzekering. Carl-Erik also worked at Euroclear as a student in the Application Delivery and Maintenance division. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Business Engineering from KU Leuven and an Erasmus Exchange at Chalmers University of Technology, along with a Bachelor's degree in Business Engineering from KU Leuven and a graduation from Jan-van-Ruusbroeckollege with a focus in Ancient Greek and Mathematics.
