Daniel Jurg is currently a PhD Fellow at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO and a PhD Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where involvement includes teaching and research. In addition to these roles, Daniel works as a Junior Researcher at imec-SMIT and serves as a Speaker at the Hannah Arendt Instituut, delivering lectures and workshops focused on online disinformation, polarization, and radicalization. Previous experience includes an Erasmus Traineeship as a Research Assistant at Eötvös Loránd University, contributing to a cross-cultural research project on the online perception of populist political figures. Daniel holds a Research Master's degree in New Media and Digital Culture from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Groningen, complemented by studies in Arts, Culture and Media, and Cultural Studies.
