Iván del Castillo Zamora has a diverse work experience in the field of systems engineering and site reliability engineering. Iván started their career as an intern at Optenet, where they gained experience in troubleshooting and deployment tasks in virtualized environments. Iván later worked as a Systems Engineer at Optenet, providing technical support and performing configuration changes and upgrades for various software components.

After Optenet, Iván joined Tuenti as a Systems Engineer, where they played a key role in the growth and development of the company. Iván was responsible for managing and maintaining their cloud infrastructure, including telecommunications and social communication services. Iván also contributed to the rapid expansion of the platform, managing a high volume of page views and processing millions of new photos daily.

Following their tenure at Tuenti, Iván worked at Antevenio as a Systems Engineer, focusing on Linux server administration and network administration. Iván was responsible for ensuring stability and performance improvements in servers and networks.

Iván then joined Audiense as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they maintained and built robust and scalable production and staging environments. Iván also had the opportunity to work with IBM Watson Ecosystem and Twitter, delivering unique consumer insights and engagement capabilities to brands and agencies.

Most recently, Iván worked at Eventbrite as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, supporting a large EC2 Ubuntu Linux platform running on the Amazon Web Services cloud. Iván enabled developer teams to be more autonomous by providing them with the necessary platform, tooling, and access for end-to-end production support of their services.

Currently, Iván is working at Fonoa as a Site Reliability Engineer.

Iván del Castillo Zamora began their education in 2001 at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they pursued studies in Computing Science Engineering. However, their studies were left unfinished as they transitioned to Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in 2006. Over the course of four years, from 2006 to 2010, they pursued a BSc in Computing Science from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. In 2002, Iván also obtained a First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations.
