Brett Mufson

Brett Mufson serves as the President and a partner at Fontainebleau Development, steering the company's strategic direction, overseeing its management, and driving the exploration of new development projects as well as corporate acquisitions and financing activities across all operational areas. He is dedicated to fostering the creation of dynamic, versatile spaces that not only connect people but also contribute to the enrichment of communities. This commitment aligns with Fontainebleau’s mission and propels Mufson to craft customer-focused growth strategies that not only enhance asset performance but also promote expansion of the company’s services.

Before his tenure at Fontainebleau, Mufson held the position of Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets at Witkoff, a privately-owned real estate and development firm based in New York City, with additional offices in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami. There, he successfully led initiatives involving more than $7 billion in various real estate sectors. Mufson’s career began at Bear Stearns, concentrating on sophisticated mortgage products and real estate financing, followed by a role at LoanCore Capital, where he specialized in the origination, structuring, and underwriting of commercial real estate loans nationwide.

Mufson, a University of Pennsylvania alumnus, actively participates in several real estate, arts, and philanthropic organizations, including the Whitney Museum and Mount Sinai Hospital. He is an executive committee member of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center at The Wharton School and serves on the board of Gibson Avenue Capital, which focuses on acquiring value-add real estate, including manufactured home communities, retail, and office properties.
