Steven Shelton CEM has a comprehensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Steven began their career in 2009 with Hilton, where they held various engineering roles, including Assistant Director of Engineering, Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, and Dual Director of Engineering. Steven achieved energy savings, managed capital improvements, and successfully handled emergency procedures during Hurricane Sandy. In 2014, Steven joined Marriott International as Director of Engineering, where they led the Engineering and Loss Prevention Departments and executed energy and sustainability projects. Steven then returned to Hilton as Director of Property Operations and Capital Project Manager/Director of Engineering. In 2021, Steven joined Fontainebleau Miami Beach as Executive Director of Engineering and recently transitioned to Vice President of Facilities. Their roles have included overseeing large-scale properties with a focus on operational efficiency, financial responsibility, and guest satisfaction.
Steven Shelton CEM received their Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Ferris State University between 2004 and 2009. During the same period, they also obtained an Associate in Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution.
