Dennis Golden

President Emeritus at Fontbonne University

Dennis Golden has a rich and diverse work experience. Dennis started their career in 1963 as a Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. After serving for three years, they transitioned to a role as Assistant to the Dean of Men at the College of the Holy Cross. Dennis then became an Assistant Dean of Students at the same college before moving on to serve as Vice President and Dean of Student Services at Framingham State College. In 1982, they became the Vice President for Student Life at Duquesne University and later founded their own company, Golden Associates, where they served as Founder and President. In 1988, they joined the University of Louisville as the Vice President for Student Affairs. Their next role was at Fontbonne University, where they served as President and Professor of Education for nearly two decades. Dennis is currently the President Emeritus at Fontbonne University. Throughout their career, Dennis Golden has consistently held leadership positions and made significant contributions to the field of education.

Dennis Golden pursued higher education in a disciplined manner. Dennis obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in History from the College of the Holy Cross between 1959 and 1963. Building upon their undergraduate education, Dennis attended Assumption University from 1967 to 1969 to acquire a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Guidance and Psychology. Lastly, they completed their educational journey at Boston College, where they earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from 1969 to 1974.
