Juan Ignacio Velasco Arangüena

Juan Ignacio Velasco Arangüena has a wealth of work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Juan Ignacio began their career in 1988 as a Co Founder and General Manager at Alter Plus S.L., where they worked until 1993. From 1994 to 1997, Juan served as the Marketing Director at ICA (Informática y Comunicaciones Avanzadas). Juan Ignacio then transitioned to Profit Gestión Informática, now known as Sopra Group, where they worked as a Consulting Manager from 1997 to 1999.

In 1999, Juan joined Vodafone Spain, initially as an Internet Product Manager and later as a Business Strategy Manager until 2012.

In 2013, Juan embarked on a new venture as a Co Founder and Technology Partner at InstitutionalFundSales, where they remain till date. Simultaneously, since 2013, Juan has also worked as an Independent Professional, providing IT consultancy and development services to various companies. Juan Ignacio'srole involves conducting research and recommending appropriate solutions based on extensive technical experience, understanding business needs, and knowledge of different industries. Juan Ignacio also takes charge of developing and implementing these solutions.

Finally, since 2018, Juan has been working at Fonto, initially as a Tech Lead until 2020, and then as the Chief Technology Officer starting in January 2021.

Juan Ignacio Velasco Arangüena completed an independent coursework on Intro to Machine Learning at Udacity in 2016, focusing on computer programming with specific applications. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2016, they pursued an Engineer's degree in Information Technology and Computer Science at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in November 2012.
