Joep Houterman

Joep Houterman serves as the President of the Executive Board at Fontys University of Applied Sciences since August 2018, where responsibilities include overseeing strategy, education quality, research, and internationalization. Houterman is also a member of the Executive Board and is involved in the General Board of Stichting Brainport and the Board of Vereniging Hogescholen with roles spanning internationalization and regional vitality. Previously, Houterman held positions such as Vice President at Aeres and Director at Nuffic, managing significant budgets and programs in higher education. Houterman's education includes a Master's degree in Tropical Animal Production from Wageningen University & Research and additional studies at INSEAD and the Nationale Comenius Leergang.
