Christine Lin

Manager, Recovery & Reorganisation at Foo Kon Tan LLP

Christine is a manager in the recovery and reorganisation services team. With more than 10 years of experience, Christine has helped many clients resolve complex business issues and has been involved with companies under stress and individuals facing bankruptcy. She has worked on a wide range of formal insolvency engagements and also has a key litigation support role involving commercial and contractual disputes, individual and family disputes and corporate fraud investigations.

Highlights from her experience working with clients in the privately held business sector include providing litigation support for a client’s solicitors against the director of a foreign registered company found to have led client into making bogus investments; providing litigation support for a client in evaluating the evidence and rendering opinion on the loss and damage arising from misrepresentation alleged by the Plaintiff; conducting extensive investigations into a contractual breach which, supported by substantial findings, resulted in a more amicable resolution and the dispute was settled out of court; assisting the nominee in a voluntary arrangement whereby two debtors obtained the creditors’ approval of a settlement proposal for debt amounted to approximately $26.8 million; and review of business transactions of a local company to show that these business transactions (which had became the subject of Commercial Affairs Department investigations) were normal business transactions between the company and their customer.
