Octavio Soares

Octavio Soares is the current Chair at Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC. Octavio has also served as a Board Member from January 2016 to June 2020. Prior to that, they were with BASF for 3 years, first as the North America Operations Director from October 2012 to August 2018, and then as the Global Head of Seed Supply from August 2018 to August 2021. Before BASF, Soares was with Kordsa Global for over 3 years in various roles, including Plant Manager - Tire Cord Fabric, North America Technical Manager, and Technical & Quality Manager - Laurel Hill Plant. Additionally, they have also held positions at Colbond and Performance Fibers.

Octavio Soares has a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology from Universidade Salvador, an MBA in Business Management from Universidade Salvador, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal da Bahia. Octavio also has a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from Curso e Colégio Apoio.
