Randolph Keaton is the current Director at Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC. Prior to this, they served as the Director Of Finance And Operations at Urban Ministries of Wake County from March 2017 to March 2019.
Under their leadership, Randolph was able to improve accounting procedures to align financials with GAAP accrual reporting standards. Randolph also simplified and standardized Finance Committee and Executive Board financial reports to enable informed decision making. In addition, they expanded employee benefits while reducing overall costs of services.
During their time at Urban Ministries of Wake County, Randolph also implemented a new time keeping and paycheck system for staff to simplify and automate manual process. Randolph also developed annual budgets and reviewed monthly variances with Finance Committee and Program Directors to ensure proper management of funds. Additionally, they reconciled and prepared monthly grant reports for state, county, and city agencies.
In terms of financial controls, Randolph was able to improve controls by selecting a new audit firm to provide a fresh view of internal controls. Randolph also secured loans, financing and support grant application for a new women’s center facility. Moreover, they identified and gained approval for finance policy improvements to ensure stronger fiscal management. Lastly, they provided leadership and career development for finance and volunteer services staff.
Randolph Keaton has a Master of Business Administration - MBA from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science - BS in Accounting from Penn State University. Randolph also has certification from the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners in Certified Public Accountant.
