Emily Nix is a seasoned professional in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the Senior Manager for Production, Inventory, and Distribution at the Food Bank of South Jersey since June 2018. In this role, Emily oversees over 200 partnerships with pantries and soup kitchens, ensuring effective hunger relief efforts. Emily previously held multiple titles at the Food Bank, including Senior Manager of Government Compliance and Agency Network Manager, and worked as a Special Programs Coordinator, facilitating educational programs in collaboration with local nonprofits. Prior experience includes a management role at Mount Desert Island Ice Cream and service as a FEMA Corps Member with AmeriCorps NCCC. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Wheaton College Massachusetts and is pursuing a dual MBA and Master of Science in Sustainability Leadership and Sustainable Food Systems at Prescott College.

The Food Bank of South Jersey provides food to people in need, delivers health and wellness programs, and designs sustainable solutions to help people improve their lives. We operate on one simple premise: food should not be wasted when hungry people are in our midst. From this truth, FBSJ has built an effective food distribution program that annually links over 12 million pounds of food with more than 250 charitable food providers, such as food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelters. The Food Bank of South Jersey is the largest source of government and non-government food assistance in South Jersey and is the largest agency in South Jersey. Our mission is to eliminate hunger and malnutrition by ensuring that wholesome surplus food reaches people in need. Our centralized food donation and distribution system is a vital community link ensuring that low-income and disadvantaged residents can access free groceries and wholesome meals from a charitable food provider in their neighborhood.
