Doug Baker has a diverse and extensive work experience. Doug began their career at Kraft Foods, where they worked as a Customer Business Manager for five years. Doug then joined Federated Foods, LLC in 2003 as the VP of Sales, responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans. In 2013, they joined FMI- The Food Industry Association as the Vice President Industry Relations, overseeing the private brands council and leading the CIO Technology Council. In this role, they focus on facilitating collaboration among members and driving initiatives related to brand innovation, technology, and modern retailing.

Doug Baker began their education journey in 1986, where they attended Arizona State University. Although the specific degree and field of study are unknown, they studied at this institution until 1990. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at the University of Phoenix from 1999 to 2002. Doug later completed a Certificate of Completion in Private Brand Executive Education at Saint Joseph's University in 2010. In July 2023, they obtained a certification titled "What Is Generative AI?" from LinkedIn.
