Sanath Yeduri

Executive Board Member; Food Donor Coordinator at Food Recovery Network

Sanath Yeduri is a dedicated undergraduate researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, focusing on the mechanisms of cGAS as a nuclear protein through solution-state NMR and computational methods. In addition to research, Sanath serves as an Executive Board Member and Food Donor Coordinator for the Food Recovery Network, ensuring effective food donations and compliance with safety procedures. As a General Staff Member in the Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the UNC Student Government, Sanath collaborates with minority-serving organizations to address representation and housing concerns for diverse students. Furthermore, Sanath works as a Climbing Wall Instructor, responsible for teaching and ensuring safety for new climbers. Sanath is pursuing dual degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a focus on Nutrition Science and Research and a Bachelor of Arts in Medical and Biological Physics, expected to graduate in May 2025.

Food Recovery Network

Food Recovery Network is a national nonprofit organization that unites and supports college students to fight food waste and hunger by recovering surplus food from their campuses and local restaurants that would otherwise go to waste and donating it to hungry Americans. The FRN National HQ is located in College Park, Maryland. Each official FRNchapter is run autonomously by student leaders on that campus.
