Maximo Menchaca is an accomplished backend developer with significant experience in software engineering and atmospheric sciences. Currently employed at Food Revolution Network since March 2020, Maximo supports the organization's mission for sustainable food through technology. Prior experience includes a role as a software engineer at Vaisala, where Maximo developed software for renewable energy projects and gained proficiency in multiple programming languages and cloud technologies. Maximo also holds a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington, where innovative research on atmospheric modeling garnered several accolades, including a National Science Foundation fellowship. Earlier involvement as a research intern at NCAR included contributions to the Model for Prediction Across Scales and presentations at significant meteorological conferences. Maximo also earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
