David Lyons is an experienced Enforcement Policy Manager at the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. In addition to their role at the FSAI, David also works as a Consultant for BTSF - World, where David provides training and technical assistance on official controls for food safety and economic development. David has extensive experience in developing and delivering training programs for competent authorities across EU Member States. In the past, David has also worked as a Senior Consultant for the EU/Myanmar Trade Development Programme, focusing on veterinary medicines registration and control systems. Prior to their current roles, David served as a Group Manager at Middlesbrough Council, leading various teams and projects related to public safety and community development.
