Tamara Tripp is an accomplished development professional with extensive experience in philanthropy and nonprofit management. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Philanthropy at Food & Water Watch since November 2017, Tamara leads a national development program with a focus on major gifts, foundations, membership, planned giving, and digital fundraising. Previous roles include Director of Individual Philanthropy and Regional Director of Development at Food & Water Watch, as well as Senior Development Officer for Major Gifts at the Wildlife Conservation Society. Tamara’s background encompasses various leadership positions within prominent organizations, including The Garden Conservancy, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the Center for the Urban Environment. As the owner of Hudson Valley Mushrooms, a small mushroom farm, Tamara combines passion for sustainable agriculture with professional expertise. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
