Maurine Hainsworth

Maurine grew up in Virginia making lemon meringue pie and banana bread with her mom; but her love for food and baking really blossomed in college when she realized one of her life goals was to become the granda who has cake recipes. After earning her degree in Linguistics, American Studies, and French, she dove head-first into the digital marketing agency world. Now she's pleased to channel her passion for all things sweet at Food52. When Maurine's not baking, eating, or writing, you'll probably find her snapping some pics (usually of the things she's baked) or exploring the city with her husband.
