Heather Secrist

Heather Secrist has a strong background in the biotechnology and food industry, with over 20 years of experience. Heather has held various leadership roles in different organizations. From 1995 to 2003, they worked as a Scientist at Corixa Corporation, and later joined GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals/Corixa Corporation as an Investigational Lead, Group Leader, and Senior Scientist from 2004 to 2006. Afterward, they served as the Associate Director of Preclinical Biology at VLST Corp in 2006. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at Genetic ID as the Executive Vice President and continued as the Executive Vice President of Global Technology from 2009 until 2010. In 2010, they became the CEO of Genetic ID, North America, and held the position until 2014. From 2014 to 2018, they served as the CEO of Genetic ID- Global Testing Services. Most recently, they joined Global ID Group as the COO from 2016 until 2018, and later moved to FoodChain ID as the SVP of Technical Services Americas in July 2018.

Heather Secrist's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Trinity University. Heather then pursued a PhD in Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. After completing their PhD, they undertook a Postdoctoral program in Immunology at Stanford University.
