Nicole Nixon has a long history of work experience. Nicole began their career in 1996 as an EMT for Gold Cross Ambulance Services. Nicole then moved on to become a firefighter for the South Salt Lake Fire Department in 1998. In the same year, they worked as a Phlebotomist for Jordan Valley Hospital and an EKG Technician for IHC Cottonwood and LDS Hospitals. From 2001-2005, they worked as a Technical Support Specialist for El Camino Hospital. From 2005-2009, they worked as a Lab Assistant III for Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. During this time, they also worked as a Phlebotomist for Sonora Quest Laboratories/ Laboratory Sciences of Arizona. From 2009-2020, they worked as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant for HonorHealth. Finally, in 2020, they began working as a Snap Ed Coordinator and Public Health Manager for FoodFinder and a Specimen Processing Specialist and Team Lead for Oregon Health & Science University.

Nicole Nixon attended the University of Utah from 1995 to 1996, studying Art/Art Studies, General. Nicole then went on to De Anza College from 2001 to 2005, earning an Associate's degree in Biology, General. Currently, they are enrolled at Portland State University, where they are working towards a Bachelor of Science in Public Health/Community Education.
