Santiago Schmitt is a dynamic entrepreneur and researcher with a strong background in technology and finance. As the Co-Founder and CPO of FoodLama, a Google-backed grocery shopping engine, Schmitt built a team of 11 full-time members and successfully raised $400,000 in pre-seed funding while still in high school. Schmitt's experience includes serving as a Research Associate at Harvard University, focusing on market inefficiencies and fintech, as well as contributing to research on California's fast food minimum wage. Additionally, Schmitt held the position of Capture Lead and Advisor at Cinemersive Labs, leading efforts in spatial imaging and presenting findings at major conferences. Prior experience includes trading high-end vintage watches and angel investing in startups through Arbitrage + AI Ventures. Currently, Schmitt is pursuing a BA in History and Political Economy at the University of Virginia as a Jefferson Scholar, following an education at Latymer Upper School.
